
Uploading your Homepage At Travel-Net you get 5MB's of space on our servers to use for your own website. To help make getting your website ready easier we have instructions for uploading your files to our server using two popular FTP programs. WS_FTP and Cute FTP.
Uploading with Ws_FTP

WS_FTP Upload Window
- Open your dial-up connection to Travel-Net
- Launch WS_FTP
- If have not already created a profile for Travel-Net click here.
- Hit Connect to connect to the Travel-Net server.
- There should now be a window with two parts. On the left-hand side is your machine. On the right hand side is the "remote system" this is the machine to upload your webpage to.
- The directory for the remote system should read "/". If it doesn't click for help.
- On the the right hand side inside you directory look for a folder called "public_html". If it isn't there click "Mkdir" on the right-hand side to create it.
- Once you see "public_html" double-click to open it up.
- On the left-hand side for your machine change to the directory on you hard drive that has the files you wish to upload.
- Select the files and folders you want to upload by clicking on them once and highlighting them.
- Once all the files are selected, click the ">" button that points to the remote machine to upload the files.
- Wait for the files to finish uploading, then click the disconnect button and close WS_FTP.
- Congratulations your website is created!
Creating a WS_FTP profile

WS_FTP New Session Window
- When WS_FTP first starts up select "New" from the first screen.
- Enter "Travel-Net" as the Profile Name
- Enter "www.travel-net.com" as the Host Name
- Enter your username as the UserID
- Enter your password as the Password
- Make sure "Anonymous" is NOT checked
- Check "Save Password"
- Click "Save". Click "Save" again. Go back to instructions.
Uploading with Cute FTP

Cute FTP Upload Window
- Open your dial-up connection to Travel-Net
- Launch Cute FTP
- When Cute FTP is launched go to "Site Manager" from the File menu.
- If have not already created a profile for Travel-Net click here
- Select the profile Travel-Net
- Click Connect to connect
- There should now be a window with two parts. On the left-hand side is your machine. On the right hand side is the "remote system" this is the machine to upload your webpage to.
- The directory for the remote system should read "/". If it doesn't click for help
- Click on the right-hand side to select the remote machine.
- On the the right hand side inside you directory look for a folder called "public_html". If it isn't there go to the "Commands" menu at the top menu bar and select "Make new directory" and call it "public_html".
Once the "public_html" is in sight, double click it to go inside.
- On the left-hand side which is you machine go to the directory that has the content you want to upload.
Click the files you want upload and drag them to the remote machine.
- Once the files are uploaded. Select "Disconnect" from the File menu, then close Cute FTP
- Congratulations your website is created.
Creating a Cute FTP profile

Cute FTP New Profile Window
- Click the "Add" button
- Enter "Travel-Net" as the Site Label
- Enter "www.travel-net.com" as the Host Address
- Enter your username as the UserID
- Enter your password as the Password
- Click "Normal" under Login Type.
- Click "Apply". Click "OK" Go back to instructions.
